JOB SUMMARY:

Digital NEST is a dynamic workforce development organization dedicated to empowering youth from working-class, agricultural backgrounds by equipping them with essential technical and professional skills. As we embark on an exciting expansion journey across multiple communities in Northern California, we are seeking a dedicated Member Advocate to join our team.

The Member Advocate will work closely with the Center Director and the leadership team to foster a positive membership experience and achieve program and marketing goals. This role is pivotal in creating an inviting atmosphere for all members and ensuring accurate digital check-ins for guests and program participants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Member Engagement (40%):

  • Addressing inquiries from members.
  • Welcoming members and visitors warmly, representing Digital NEST with professionalism.
  • Encouraging member participation in activities and events through various communication channels.
  • Assisting with social media management and communications.
  • Conducting tours for prospective members, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Facilitating the completion of membership processes, including tracking systems and consent forms.
  • Engaging in self-development to enhance member engagement and customer service skills.

Operational Support (35%):

  • Assisting the Center Manager with room setups for events and rentals.
  • Executing facility opening and closing procedures for each shift.
  • Supporting program staff with event space arrangements.
  • Managing the center's calendars for room reservations and programming.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment at the Digital NEST center.
  • Monitoring member activities within the facility.
  • Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate staff promptly.
  • Assisting with the procurement of supplies and essential items.
  • Collaborating with the Center Manager to liaise with vendors and service providers.

Front Desk Responsibilities (25%):

  • Managing phone communications and performing clerical tasks.
  • Utilizing task management tools for tracking and completing assignments.
  • Participating in required departmental and organizational meetings.
  • Keeping program and event materials accessible and up-to-date for members.
  • Ensuring accurate check-in and check-out processes for all members.
  • Contributing to the Monthly Programs Update Report through data entry and attendance tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with young adults.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to support individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ communities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
