We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physician Assistant/Nursing Studies and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Dermatology. They will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating common dermatological disorders, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing patient education on skincare and skin cancer prevention.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose patients with common dermatological disorders
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work, and scans
- Provide patient education on skincare and skin cancer prevention
- Complete nursing tasks, such as removing stitches after a procedure
- Refer patients to specialists if necessary and analyze medical records and reports
- Advise patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant/Nursing Studies
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Dermatology
- Surgical experience preferred
- Participation in further medical education and/or professional organization memberships
- Flexible and positive team player
- Strong desire to build a new approach to dermatologic care
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active State FL License as Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
- Board Certification (ARNP, PA-C, PANCE, AANP, or equivalent) required
