Shear Operator

Kable Staffing is seeking a skilled Shear Operator to join our team in Batavia, OH. This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity that offers a range of benefits and opportunities for growth.

• Set up and operate shearing machines to cut metal materials according to project specifications.
• Select and prepare metal sheets for shearing, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on shearing equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
• Inspect sheared pieces for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Safely move and handle metal materials within the workshop.
• Maintain records of job orders, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Work closely with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Shear Operator or in a related role.
• Knowledge of shearing machines and metal fabrication processes.
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a metalworking environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to interpret project specifications and drawings.
• Physical stamina and strength for manual material handling.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
