About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Outpatient Receptionist to join our team at SERV Behavioral Health System, Inc. in New Jersey. This role is a crucial part of our Access to Care Department and requires strong communication and organizational skills.
Main Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to clients of our outpatient program, creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
- Handle high call volumes efficiently, responding promptly and courteously to all incoming calls, addressing inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain accurate records, performing various administrative duties, including faxing, emailing, copying, and filing, as well as preparing and distributing correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for clients with clinicians, ensuring efficient and accurate calendar management, minimizing scheduling conflicts.
- Verify client insurance benefits and eligibility, providing necessary information regarding coverage, copays, and deductibles to both clients and clinicians.
- 1 year previous experience in an outpatient receptionist or administrative support role, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
- Valid drivers license in the state of residence.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in office administration or behavioral health is a plus.
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a comprehensive health insurance plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
