We are looking for a Certified Respiratory Care Specialist to become part of our team at MED-STAT HEALTH CARE INC. In this role, you will be tasked with assessing patients in various medical scenarios and developing suitable respiratory treatment strategies. Your responsibilities will also include delivering respiratory support to patients with complex medical conditions, managing endotracheal tube procedures, and collaborating closely with patients and their families to ensure clear communication throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate demeanor, exceptional bedside manner, a thorough understanding of patient requirements, and a solid knowledge of respiratory care standards and regulations.
Work Schedule
Weekend shifts required (Friday/Saturday)...
Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience necessary.
Patient Demographics: Adult & Pediatric.
Will rotate among: Pediatric ICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care.
Responsibilities include: emergency response, in-house patient transport, medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
Familiarity with equipment: Servo I & U, V60 BiPAP.
Charting System: EPIC.
New Jersey License and BLS Certification mandatory.
Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) are highly desirable; training will be provided on-site.
First-time travelers are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of diverse patient populations.
- Provide tailored recommendations for respiratory care based on individual patient needs.
- Administer essential respiratory treatments, including tube management and equipment adjustments.
- Engage with both patients and their families to ensure comprehensive understanding and satisfaction with care.
- Valid credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or equivalent state board certification.
- State licensure is a prerequisite.
- In-depth knowledge of respiratory care practices and patient management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
