About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine department at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical assessment, examination, and treatment for women in need of Maternal Fetal Medicine services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and perform comprehensive assessments via observation, interview, and examination.
  • Provide high-quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines.
  • Interpret antenatal testing, including non-stress tests, to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care.
  • Collaborate with a team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical care.
  • Ensure seamless communication with leadership and other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of healthcare services.
  • Provide patient navigation to facilitate smooth care coordination between inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in the education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and fellows to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Support and participate in research initiatives within the division to advance Maternal Fetal Medicine care.
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association preferred.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in nursing science or equivalent degree.
  • Five years of experience providing obstetrical care.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
