Job Summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team. As a Diagnostic Radiography Professional, you will be responsible for performing a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to create images needed for diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications parenterally through new or existing vascular access, enterally or through other appropriate routes as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Apply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
  • Apply principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining medical records, respecting confidentiality and established policy.
  • Corroborate with patient's clinical history with procedure and ensure information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
  • Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
  • Evaluate images for proper positioning and determine if additional images will improve the procedure or treatment outcome.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Identify and respond to emergency situations.
  • Identify, prepare and/or administer medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Perform ongoing quality assurance activities.
  • Perform venipuncture as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Postprocess data.
  • Prepare patients for procedures.
  • Provide education.
  • Provide optimal patient care.
  • Receive, relay and document verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient's medical record.
  • Select the appropriate protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety.
  • Start, maintain and/or remove intravenous access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Verify archival storage of data.
  • Verify informed consent for applicable procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Ohio License
