About the Position

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of nuclear medicine services.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and report nuclear medicine scans, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT scans, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide nuclear medicine therapies, including I-131 sodium iodide and Ra-223 dichloride, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Interact with nuclear medicine staff to answer questions and obtain optimal imaging.
  • Review and protocol new routine, inpatient, and urgent incoming nuclear medicine orders.
  • Act as an Authorized User for the service.
  • Interact with other services and providers to answer questions and prioritize studies.
Requirements
  • Must be a board-certified physician in nuclear medicine.
  • Must have completed residency training in nuclear medicine.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
