Audiology Specialist

As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will administer diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate between types of hearing disorders, coordinate and interpret test results, and consult with physicians to make recommendations on hearing disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems and research related to hearing and attendant disorders.
- Physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear, including ear cleaning, evaluation, and fitting of hearing aids.
- Assess and program cochlear implants, and provide rehabilitation services for patients with vestibular and auditory system disorders.
- Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers on the etiology and management of the disorder.
- Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data, such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
- Kaiser Permanente conducts regular compensation reviews of positions. The company reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions or change positions from salaried to hourly pay status at any time, with notice given to affected employees.
- Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
- Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
- One (1) year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
