Position Overview

The Licensed Speech Language Pathologist plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive speech therapy services under the guidance of the Center Administrator. This position is responsible for conducting clinical evaluations and providing therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of participants across various settings, including Day Centers, Nursing Homes, and in-home environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrating speech therapy strategies into the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) Plan of Care.
  • Assisting with the procurement, distribution, and upkeep of necessary therapeutic equipment for participants.

Health and Safety Requirements:

Prior to engaging with participants, candidates must secure medical clearance for communicable diseases and maintain current immunizations. A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are mandatory, along with the ability to meet the auto insurance standards set by EveryAge.

Educational Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, with a preference for those holding a Clinical Certification of Competency in Speech Pathology (CCC).

Licensure, registration, or certification to practice in the state of North Carolina is required, along with a current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Professional Experience:

A minimum of one year’s experience working with elderly or frail populations is essential.

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills and qualifications.
