Role SummaryThe Service Advisor will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our service locations. This individual will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, with the ability to think on their feet and solve operational problems. If you're a dynamic and resourceful leader with excellent communication skills, a passion for adventure, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we want you on our team. As a Service Advisor, you'll work closely with our customers every day to assist with service needs and coordinate with our Operations, Call Center, Retail, and Marketing teams. This role requires a strong ability to foster cross-functional interaction, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and support Service teams and customers within a Service center.
Responsibilities- Promote Team Member Understanding of Company Vision and Goals
- Support Management in Planning and Execution of Service Center Launch
- Utilize Training Methodologies to Ensure Learning Effectiveness
- Encourage Team Members to Deliver a Top-Notch Customer Experience
- Answer Phone Calls, Emails, and Drive-Ins to Address Customer Concerns
- Respond to Customer Inquiries and Escalated Operational Failures in a Timely Fashion
- Translate Customer-Reported Service-Related Problems to Actionable Work Orders
- Determine Technical Solutions and Perform Daily Record Keeping
- Communicate Estimated Completion Time and Regular Updates to Customers
- Inspect Vehicles Before Delivery to Ensure Correct Service and Repairs
- Coordinate and Communicate Vehicle Details with Customers
- Analyze Service Lapses and Work with Supervisor to Improve
- Administer New and Used Vehicle Warranty Repairs
- Meet State and Federal Law Requirements for Automobile Repair and Consumer Protection
- Lead Continuous Improvement Activities
- Read and Comprehend Instructions and Follow Established Procedures
- Communicate Best Practices and Performance Data to Supervisor and Boundary Partners
- Maintain High-Quality Relationships with All Departments
- Support Initial Launch Activities for Setting Up Service Centers
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-3 Years' Experience in a Customer-Facing Role or Similar in the Automotive Industry
- Strong Communication Skills
- Flexibility and Responsiveness to Changing Conditions
- Organizational and Time Management Skills
- Great Attitude and High-Energy Personality
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Ability to Multi-Task and Thrive in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Basic Mathematics Skills

- Ability to See, Read, and Interpret Documents
- Minimum Age of 21
- Availability for a Regular Schedule of 40 Hours per Week
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California-Based Applicants: $33.73 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits SummaryRivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
