About the Role

At Block By Block, we're dedicated to making public spaces friendly and vibrant for the communities we serve. As a Street Ambassador, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the appearance of our service districts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manual Litter Collection: Circulate through assigned work zones, removing litter, graffiti, and weeds, and cleaning sidewalks and infrastructure.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios.
  • Hospitality and Customer Service: Provide friendly greetings, directions, and information to visitors.
  • Reporting: Document broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and daily accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Physical Abilities: Ability to walk or traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks.
  • Communication: Ability to speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.
