Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activity Director to join our team. As an Activity Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the resident's activity program and maintaining necessary documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Organize and implement individual and group activities based on the needs of the residents, ensuring a diverse range of activities for both high and low functioning residents.
- Documentation: Complete section E of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) in a timely and accurate manner, and develop the activities component of the Comprehensive Care Plan from the completed activity assessment.
- Resident Engagement: Provide activities for residents who are bedfast or unable to participate in group activities, and document in the appropriate record.
- Communication: Prepare a monthly calendar and post it in a visible area, and provide a copy to each resident and post it in their room.
- Community Outreach: Coordinate a minimum of two off-site activities per month, participate in community events related to the interest of the facility, and arrange for the use of community facilities.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit, orient, and supervise the volunteer program of the facility.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in facility QA meetings and complete monthly QA reports.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent training/experience is preferred.
- Licensure: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is required.
- Experience: Two years of experience in a social or recreational program is required.
