Hotel Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Hotel Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment of our hotel. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Assure that each day's activities and problems are communicated to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
- Display advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.
- Display above-average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
- Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
