Rome Health is seeking a skilled Patient Access Advisor to join our team in the Pre-Registration Call Center. As a Patient Access Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate registration of all patients. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain required signatures and provide general information regarding hospital policies, registration procedures, benefits, patient rights, and patient financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Register and pre-register patients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Offer estimates for cost of outpatient testing to unscheduled patients.
- Collect patient email addresses and assist with Patient Portal Facility enrollment.
- Inform patients of all payment options and screen for financial assistance when applicable.
- Conduct medical necessity screening for all Medicare patients.
- Obtain appropriate signatures as required and document activity in the appropriate system fields.
- Act as a liaison between the facility and patient/family to resolve problems and/or address complaints.
- Participate in unit and hospital educational programs to maintain current skills and competency levels.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with and supportive of the mission and value statement of Rome Health.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Data entry and/or PC experience required.
- Medical terminology coursework or knowledge required.
- Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
- CHAA Certification preferred.
