Overview:

Empyrean is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee a 2,000-acre solar project in Elberton, GA. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the contractor effectively, ensuring project goals are met without shortcuts, while maintaining the client's best interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the contractor to ensure adherence to project timelines and design specifications, specifically with storm water basin redesign.
• Maintain open and constructive communication with the EPC contractor, addressing any deviations from design and ensuring compliance.
• Proactively manage site issues related to storm water management.
• Serve as the client's representative on-site, ensuring that the contractor works in line with the intended designs rather than adopting their own processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Construction Management Experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on oversight and ensuring quality control.
• Solar Experience: Utility-scale solar experience is strongly preferred, given the scope and nature of the project.
• Knowledgeable with erosion and sedimentation controls and construction.
• Strong Communication and Conflict Resolution Skills: Ability to effectively push back on contractors and engage in constructive dialogue to safeguard project objectives.

• Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen required.
• Contract Length: At least 6 months, with potential extension.
