Transformative Data Modeler Role at Ecolab

Ecolab, a global sustainability leader, is seeking a skilled Data Modeler to join our innovative One Customer project. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will design and implement scalable and efficient data models within the Snowflake cloud data platform.

Your expertise will contribute to optimizing data storage, retrieval, and analysis, enabling our organization to derive valuable insights and drive strategic decision-making.

What You Will Do:
  • Establish close relationships with Agile teams and Business Subject Matter Experts to drive out data needs and usage requirements.
  • Collaborate with Modeling, Reporting, Development, and Architecture teams to drive out long-term solutions.
  • Identify issues and risks and proactively communicate them to the team and stakeholders.
  • Build out the model, following and improving the agile modeling process.
Utilize DevOps Process:
  • Release model changes.
  • Track model history.
Position Location:

St. Paul, MN (Hybrid role)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred, or no degree and 6 years combined education and equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years data modeling experience.
  • 1 year of Dimensional Modeling (Kimball) Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational database concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in data modeling and database design.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
