Clinical Therapist

Thrive Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team. As a Clinician, you will be responsible for providing assessment evaluations, outpatient short-term psychotherapy, and linkage with community service agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide initial assessment and intake evaluation in client's home.
- Provide individual, couples, family, or group counseling within the scope of one's competencies.
- Provide crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement recovery plans and document services consistent with Thrive standards and/or insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with other providers, agencies, insurance companies, and individuals in the client's network of care.
- Provide relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up, and aftercare.
- Provide education, training, and modeling in basic daily living skills, social, or parenting skills.
- Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed.
- Coordinate community resources, transportation for client, and referrals to appropriate resources including services within Thrive.
- Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation, and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.
- Ensure clients have appropriate medical coverage at all times.
- Accompany clients to community appointments, provide advocacy as needed.
- Attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed period.
- Attend all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.

- Present a neat appearance in proper attire and identification as required by the position, department, and agency policies and procedures.
- Work the hours and/or shifts assigned, and begin and end on time.
- Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.
- Function, as a member of a team, i.e., be a Team Player.
- Master's Degree in the human service field of social work or counseling preferred.
- Minimum (2) year experience working with clients with disabilities preferred.
- Experience or training in related state and federal assistance programs also preferred.
- Licensed at an independent level (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) preferred.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards law, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the job responsibilities/tasks is necessary for community-based positions.
