Bellevue, Washington, United States Amazon Full time
About the Role

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to build a new AWS service that will be a game-changer in the machine learning and AI field.

This is a challenging position that requires solving complex engineering problems to enable machine learning powered solutions for our customers.

As a tier zero Amazon service, our solutions must be scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant. Experience with machine learning systems is a plus, but not required.

You will be responsible for delivering some of our most strategic technical projects, designing new software systems at the cutting edge of distributed database technology, and having a significant impact on our business and competitive position.

In addition to delivering critical software, you will mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues.

This position within the AWS AI team offers a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast-growing business and help shape the technology, product, and business.

A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, a desire to have an industry-wide impact, and the ability to work in a fast-moving, startup environment in a large company to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.

About the Team

AWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

Even if you don't meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we invite you to apply.

If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.

That's why you'll find endless knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and other career-advancing resources here to help you develop into a better-rounded professional.

We value work-life harmony.

Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture.

When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there's nothing we can't achieve in the cloud.

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
