Key Responsibilities

The Food and Nutritional Clerk, under the guidance of the FANS Management Team, is responsible for ensuring all cashiering, clerical, and administrative tasks are executed accurately and promptly. This role involves processing diet orders, managing menus, and addressing patient requests. The FANS Clerk also engages in various employee-related duties as a cashier, server, and short-order cook, consistently delivering exceptional customer service.

Clerical and Administrative Duties:

  • Prepare and adjust patient menus according to dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, including meal counts and patient information.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient care and dietary needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of menus and meal services.
  • Complete additional assigned tasks as needed.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Operate the cash register, handling transactions efficiently.
  • Provide courteous service to visitors and staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area.
  • Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout service.
  • Report any shortages or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols in food handling.
Qualifications

A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in healthcare food and nutrition services and clerical roles is advantageous.
