Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in delivering pharmaceutical services efficiently.
  • Prepare unit doses, extemporaneous, and parenteral dosage forms while ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of medications to various patient care areas.
  • Manage the removal and crediting of discontinued medications.
  • Prepare requests for controlled substances and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee floor-stock inventory and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Participate in inspections of nursing stations to maintain standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in reading and communicating in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or home health pharmacy setting is advantageous.
  • Current registration with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation records.

Employment Conditions:

Covid Vaccination is mandatory for employment at Jefferson for individuals working within our clinical settings. Candidates who are not vaccinated will need to receive the vaccination prior to their start date unless they qualify for an approved medical or religious exemption.
