This key position will play a critical role in steering the financial strategy and performance of Chromalox and Electric Thermal Solutions.
The successful candidate will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes, ensuring alignment with and contributing to the Spirax Corporate processes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, reporting, and quarterly pacing process
- Coordinating with Senior Leadership the preparation of consolidated Quarterly Business Review presentations
- Driving the monthly budget versus actual analysis and actual versus prior year and other benchmark data
- Implementing and maturing financial processes and promoting financial discipline and education across the organization
- Managing the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, and modeling tools
- Driving requirements for enhancements of the financial planning and business intelligence system
- Evolve and refine the business metrics and reporting, providing insightful information to leadership
- Designing dashboards to provide transparency on important KPIs
- Performing value-added ad-hoc analyses that help drive decision-making
- Couching, mentoring, and developing team members to drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics
Requirements for the position include:
- At least 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least five years in a leadership role
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Proven experience in engineering and/or business-to-business industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and Hyperion-based financial reporting systems
- Experience interacting with overseas corporate parents and familiarity with IFRS reporting
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams both locally and internationally
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact
- Willingness to dig into details and analyze variances and trends
- Experience in the manufacturing or technology sectors is a plus
