Role Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist is tasked with executing routine maintenance and thorough inspections on commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and durability. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals aspiring to advance their careers as Commercial HVAC/R Service Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems in commercial environments.
- System Analysis: Detect and troubleshoot potential issues within HVAC/R systems and components. Execute minor repairs and adjustments to uphold system efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Utilize company-issued devices to maintain precise documentation of all work conducted.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Client Interaction: Engage professionally with clients, addressing inquiries and providing clear explanations of services rendered. Propose recommendations for system enhancements when suitable.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians and service personnel to deliver superior service to our clientele.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate company vehicles safely, complying with company driving policies and all safety regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous hands-on experience in commercial or residential HVAC, or completion of a vocational or technical program in HVAC/R is preferred.
- Certifications: Universal EPA certification.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical components, and controls, with expertise in using diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a knack for troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues and solutions clearly to clients and team members.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfortable working at heights and in diverse environmental conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
