Position Overview:

Role Details:
This is a full-time night shift position (.9 FTE) involving three 12-hour shifts weekly. You will be working in two Surgical Specialties units, one comprising 32 beds and the other 20 beds, focusing on post-operative care for general and orthopedic surgery patients.

Compensation and Benefits:
We provide additional compensation for advanced degrees (BSN/MSN, DNP) and specialty nursing certifications. The current wage range is $42.57 – $68.89, with the hiring rate influenced by various factors such as education, training, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in accordance with established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to team members based on their qualifications and demonstrated skills.
- Maintain professional effectiveness through ongoing education and development.
- Participate in the development and adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Valid Washington State Registered Nurse License.
- Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Skills:
- Knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development.
- Ability to foster positive interpersonal relationships and a patient-centered environment.
- Proficiency in supporting and interpreting healthcare policies and procedures.
- Basic computer skills.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift and handle patients up to 35 lbs without assistive devices.
- Frequent physical activity including bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Exposure to biohazards and other environmental conditions.

Mental and Visual Requirements:
- Normal vision and hearing capabilities are required.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
