We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team at WFF Facility Services. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of electrical power, emergency lighting, and power circuitry across our campus.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including power supply wiring and conduit.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, conveyor systems, lighting, and power supplies.
- Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Knowledge and competency of building automation control systems, emergency generators, and cafeteria equipment.
- Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes.
- Work with local Inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations.
- Train, mentor, and develop other Facility Apprentices.
- Maintain high quality control on tools, vehicles, and materials needed for job responsibilities.
- Keep accurate records of material used and proper documentation on work orders.
- Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and HES standards.
- Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership.
- 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical.
- Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems.
- Ability to perform advanced electrical calculations.
- Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications required by our client.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company-specific safety orientation.
- Ability to communicate in clear, concise language and possess interpersonal skills promoting HES core values and principles.
- High standard of integrity and professionalism.
- Drug-free at all times.
- Valid and current Journeyman (or Master) Electrician License within the state.
- Above-average computer skills.
- Must be willing to work in high places and maintain 'work at heights' certifications.
- MUST have tools of the trade.
- OSHA10 Construction Safety and Health preferred.
- MUST have a valid driver's license.
- MUST have reliable transportation (car or truck).
