Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Associate Director of Student Engagement and Inclusion. This is a key leadership position within the Center for Student Involvement, responsible for leading the Student Engagement team and providing strategic direction for registered student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and campus-wide programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead the Student Engagement team, including supervising staff, developing and implementing long-term planning, assessment, and budget oversight.
  • Program Development and Assessment: Develop and assess program and learning outcomes for registered student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, student leadership programs, and campus-wide programming.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Forge and strengthen collaboration with other units on campus across divisions, and serve on a variety of university and divisional committees.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of a student leadership development program for student organizations and student leaders, and coordinate and implement signature events and campus-wide programs.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Develop, implement, and assess comprehensive risk management, operational policies, and group conduct process for registered student organizations, fraternities, and sororities.
Qualifications
  • Student-Centered Approach: Demonstrate a student-centered approach to work and strong ability to work with historically underrepresented students.
  • Knowledge of College Student Development Theory: Comprehensive knowledge of college student development theory, program assessment, and research on student engagement theories.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Well-versed in diversity, equity, and inclusion theories and applications, and equity-minded.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, parents, and external community partners, and collaborate, co-create, and build partnerships with faculty and key administrative offices.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment, and manage budgets and work creatively within budgetary constraints.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent in higher education administration, college student personnel, or counseling is required.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience working within student engagement and involvement, fraternity and sorority life, campus programming, or student affairs is required, with demonstrated success leading a team and ability to work collaboratively with students, other units, and committees.
