Senior Auditor Opportunity at Zupka & Associates

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Auditor to join our dynamic public accounting firm, Zupka & Associates. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a crucial role in planning and conducting audits and review procedures for our governmental and non-profit clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute audits and review procedures for governmental and non-profit clients, including the preparation of financial statements.
  • Engage directly with Partners and Managers on client and engagement management issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients' internal accounting and auditing departments to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Assist in reinforcing existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop staff accountants, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in external audit within public accounting, or a combination of governmental public accounting and review/compilation of GAAP financial statements.
  • Strong understanding of governmental accounting and auditing standards.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel using a personal vehicle for work at client offices, meetings, or seminars, including frequent daily travel and occasional overnight stays.
