Position Overview:
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for PRN or float pool roles. Float Associates will provide support across multiple facilities.

Role Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) delivers direct rehabilitation care in physical therapy to patients based on physician referrals, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- One (1) year of experience in post-acute care or a related setting preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or to be obtained during orientation; must remain current during employment

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in community health initiatives as appropriate
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communications
- Collaborate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively plan for patient needs
- Exhibit good body mechanics consistently
- Make independent decisions when necessary
- Understand and adhere to the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Perform competently in all required areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Maintain professional relationships with all associates and vendors
- Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
- Follow company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
- Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing all mandatory training

Essential Functions:
- Follow physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT
- Document appropriately and in a timely manner
- Utilize therapy software accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
- Assist in patient evacuation when necessary
- Demonstrate reliable attendance
- Apply reasoning skills and good judgment in all situations
- Communicate effectively and function productively within an interdisciplinary team
- Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during working hours
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
