Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our team at CPS, Inc. (Food & Beverage Division). As a key member of our microbiology lab, you will be responsible for implementing and completing daily microbiology techniques, supporting environmental monitoring programs, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with ISO 17025 standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and complete daily microbiology techniques, including environmental monitoring and testing of raw materials and finished products.
  • Support functions for root cause identification and follow-up, and create and implement standardization laboratory protocols.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with ISO 17025 standards, and lead and mentor microbiology technicians.
  • Perform microbiology testing, enter laboratory testing results to a LIMS daily, and document procedures and provide guidance to lab technicians.
  • Support plant environmental monitoring program, conduct lab proficiency testing, and oversee microbiology uncertainty program.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Biology or Microbiology.
  • 3-5 years of experience in microbiology, with a working knowledge of BAM, AOAC, and USP.
  • Ability to plan and execute experimental protocols, and commitment to good documentation practices (GDP).
