Position Overview:

The Senior Front End Developer is a pivotal role within our organization, focusing on the development and implementation of advanced .Net and SharePoint solutions. This position involves collaboration with various teams, including the Medicaid ITS, and reports directly to the ITS Manager.

Contract Duration: 1 year plus

Key Qualifications:

  • Over 12 years of experience in front-end development utilizing modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • More than 12 years of expertise with the .Net Framework, specifically with Microsoft C#/.Net.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in MS-SharePoint development, including MS-SharePoint 2016 and 2013.
  • At least 6 years of experience with relational databases, including MS SQL Server and Oracle, with proficiency in ORMs, queries, and stored procedures.
  • 6+ years of experience in delivering SOA solutions through application and service integration.
  • 5+ years of experience leading project development teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft TFS and application configuration.
  • 3+ years of experience in SCRUM/Agile development methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in setting up development environments and managing IIS web servers.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial kickoff to requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and user support.
  • Generate technical documentation and provide user training as necessary.
  • Mentor junior developers in .Net technologies.
  • Enhance existing .Net solutions and maintain current sites.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Architect team to establish best practices in .Net and SharePoint solution design.
  • Identify system interfaces, business capability requirements, and opportunities for improvement within the Medicaid enterprise.
  • Participate in team activities, design discussions, and planning reviews.
  • Conduct requirement meetings to thoroughly understand and document business needs.
  • Oversee multiple applications, contributing to analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of .Net applications.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for .Net and SharePoint, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct solution design reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement comprehensive application development practices, including coding, security, debugging, and UI/UX design.
  • Diagnose system defects and trace issues back to source code.
  • Utilize best practices to ensure high performance and scalability of developed systems.
  • Create job aids and how-to guides, mentoring state staff as needed.
  • Work with vendors to optimize solution performance and reliability.
  • Establish project priorities and maintain attention to detail with minimal supervision.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in front-end application development using modern technologies.
  • Proficient in .Net Framework and Microsoft C#.
  • Experience in MS-SharePoint development.
  • Strong background in relational databases and SOA solutions.
  • Leadership experience in project development.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile practices.
