Key Responsibilities:


• Formulate, execute, and uphold information security policies, procedures, and controls that align with government mandates, including NIST SP, DFARS, and ITAR.

• Ensure the maintenance of Authorities to Operate (ATOs).
• Conduct thorough security evaluations and audits to pinpoint vulnerabilities and confirm adherence to contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with government entities, auditors, and other stakeholders to guarantee compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Monitor and react to security incidents, including leading investigations and applying corrective measures as necessary.
• Oversee security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption solutions, to defend against cyber threats.
• Offer expertise and support regarding security best practices and protocols.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and advancements in the fields of defense and cybersecurity.
• Prepare and deliver reports to senior management and government representatives concerning the organization's security status and compliance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• IAT Level III Certification (CISSP, etc.).
• TS/SCI Clearance.
• Over 5 years of experience in information security within a government defense contracting context is preferred.
• Profound knowledge of government security regulations and standards, including NIST SP, DFARS, and ITAR.
• Strong familiarity with security technologies and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and encryption.
• Excellent grasp of security risk management principles and practices.
• Experience in leading security incident responses and investigations.
• Familiarity with CERT/CISA Advisories is preferred.
• Familiarity with JSIG is preferred.
