EVS Technician

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EVS Technician to join our team. As an EVS Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

The EVS Technician is responsible for executing daily duties to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. This includes cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, common areas, and other assigned areas, as well as adhering to all organizational safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines.

• Perform daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms and common areas.
• Adhere to all organizational safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Remove trash and other waste and transport to the appropriate disposal area.
• Follow all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, and standard and isolation precautions.

• High School Diploma desired/preferred.
• Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) and/or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) desired/preferred.
• Ability to read/write English at 6th-9th grade level preferred.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
