Job Title: Senior Director, Data Architecture

At The Travelers Indemnity Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Data Architecture to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Architecture and Emerging Technology group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the next generation of information architecture that accelerates our business vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop architecture priorities and direction to enable business imperatives.
  • Display strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principles and technology modernization.
  • Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
  • Collaborate with senior technology and business leaders to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business.
  • Develop and lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of new technology architecture solutions.
  • Define and lead target state information architecture and roadmaps.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive communications to convey architectural direction and how it aligns with enterprise strategy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or equivalent with 7+ years of architecture experience.
  • Organizational and transformational leadership experience in an agile operating model.
  • Strong technical background in the information architecture space.
  • Software development experience.
  • Experience in AWS components including Lambda, Kinesis/Firehose, Airflow, Glue, Spark, EC2, SageMaker, S3, NoSQL database, and API Gateway.
  • Experience in data streaming technologies.
  • Experience with NoSQL and GraphQL technologies.
  • Experience in data modeling, governance, and data management.
  • Experience with specific DevOps and MLOps (Machine Learning) practices.
  • Personal insurance technology experience.
  • Experience with data governance and management to enable data lineage, audit/balance/control, data domain, and data quality projects.
