Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a challenging role in financial operations management? We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Above All Personnel. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the quarterly financial package for the Board and third parties, including financial information, performance indicators, narratives of business events and variances, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing quarterly financial packages for the Board and third parties
  • Attend regular meetings with business units to review outstanding invoices and discuss key operations
  • Consult/recommend to operations management and report progress to Financial Management
  • Develop customized schedules to facilitate monitoring of specific general ledger accounts
  • Maintain an effective internal control environment to ensure proper data collection and reporting
  • Maintain high standards, react to changes in the business environment; ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintain compliance with all Bi-State Development policies and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Represent Bi-State Development externally and internally; effectively communicate understanding and support organization goals
  • Assist with audit schedules at year-end, including financial info, footnotes, and supplemental/statistical schedules
  • Prepare standard, non-routine and one-time journal entries and account reconciliations for review by management
  • Meet with management and personnel to resolve differences, propose changes and establish procedures as needed
  • Review assigned cost center reports for accuracy, variance to budget for current and year-to-date balances
  • Evaluate, hire and oversee accounting contractors
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, CPA, CFE or CMA Preferred in Accounting, Business Admin., Finance or related field
  • Considerable knowledge of Agency financial management policies and procedures
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Oracle EBS
  • Able to formulate data gathering and prepare clear, concise reports
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
  • Experience in multiple project management
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
  • Ability to classify, analyze, and assimilate data into a concise, useful format
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems effectively
Estimated Salary:

$70,000 - $100,000 per annum, based on experience.
