We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Process invoices, manage collections, and oversee reconciliation of accounts to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing insights.
  • Ensure all financial practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including timely reporting of taxes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of accounting operations.
  • Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist in audits by providing requested information and addressing inquiries.

Working Conditions:

The Staff Accountant works in an onsite office setting. They spend most of their time at a desk using a computer for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Standard working hours are typically 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. However, additional hours are common during peak periods, such as month-end or year-end closings, tax season, or audits.

The role generally involves low physical demands, such as sitting for extended periods, occasional light lifting (e.g., paper files), and frequent computer use.

The Staff Accountant frequently interacts with other departments such as HR, Customer Service and operations. They may participate in meetings to discuss budgets, financial planning, or reporting.

The position can be fast-paced and deadline-driven, particularly around reporting deadlines, which may cause occasional periods of increased stress.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
