Job Opportunity

Canonical is seeking a talented individual to join our data platform team as a Software Developer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and automating data platforms to provide multi-cloud and on-premise data solutions for the enterprise.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with experience in distributed systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on creating high-quality, idiomatic Python code. You will work collaboratively with a distributed team to design, develop, and deploy features of our data platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to design and develop new features
  • Write high-quality, efficient Python code
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities
  • Work with experts in various fields to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
Requirements
  • Proven experience in software development using Python
  • Proven experience in distributed systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
