Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will contribute to the success of our business by designing fixtures and optimizing production processes in our aerospace-level manufacturing facility.

Job Description

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The job is located in Montville, NJ, and may require up to 10% travel.

The employee will be exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including fluids, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise, and vibration.

The duties of this job are conducted in both a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. Use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, as well as appropriate eye, hearing, and foot protection is required as necessary to perform job duties.

The temperature and humidity of the work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, and other factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and validate the performance of assembly tooling and fixtures to support the building and testing of aerospace electronics, and electromechanical actuators.
  • Assembly Procedure and other document creation and modification.
  • Improve the efficiency of production processes without compromising quality.
  • Manage the startup of new production cells.
  • Review and build existing customer-designed product and evaluate effectiveness of the design for manufacturing and recommend improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
  • Knowledge in the design and implementation of assembly of precision devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, CAD software, and ERP systems.
