Overview:


Bowhead is seeking a Space Operations Instructor with expertise in Counter Communication Systems (CCS) to provide support for the Space Delta 3 and the 3rd Combat Training Squadron.

The Space Operations Instructors (SOIs) act as the key representatives responsible for overseeing all activities related to space control.

The SOIs deliver specialized knowledge, continuity, and facilitate training in both offensive and defensive electronic warfare mission areas.

The instructors are tasked with developing educational materials and delivering training in Space Control and Electronic Warfare (EW).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom and practical instruction for Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Electromagnetic Warfare Operators Course (EWOC), Counter Communication System (CCS) Mission Qualification Training, and Bounty Hunter (BH) Mission Qualification Training as assigned.
  • Create, validate, standardize, and review training materials including lesson plans, scripts, visual aids, and input cards.
  • Collaborate with various military and space organizations to enhance training resources and materials.
  • Maintain Special Mission Certification (SMC) and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on space control systems, weaponry, and artificial satellite environments.
  • Identify and propose enhancements or upgrades to existing systems.
  • Organize student schedules, resources, and training facilities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution (or an equivalent of six (6) years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
  • A minimum of five (5+) years of experience in space operations and training.
  • At least three (3+) years of experience specifically in Space Control and Electronic Warfare missions.
  • Experience in Space Weapons and Tactics is preferred.
  • Completion of the Electromagnetic Warfare Operator Course (EWOC), Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Fundamentals, Signal Management Subsystem (SMS), Signal Processing Suite (SPS), and Bounty Hunter (BH) Mission Qualification Training is highly desirable.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED:
Must currently possess a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a prerequisite for Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
