REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of quality engineering experience within the automotive sector.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or equivalent experience in quality engineering.
- Proven experience working directly with OEM clients.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (Gd&T).
- Strong knowledge of gauges, inspection tools, and metrology techniques.
- Experience with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, control plans, process flow diagrams, and work instruction documentation.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and expertise in 8-D corrective action methodologies.
- Preferred experience in a machining environment.
- Excellent documentation and computer proficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the launch of new products, ensuring that APQP documentation is accurately prepared and submitted to customer portals.
- Maintain strong relationships with OEM customers through regular visits and effective communication.
- Support the development of processes and procedures to comply with TS-16949 and customer specifications.
- Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and implement process enhancements to address quality issues and develop corrective actions.
- Create and manage process flow diagrams, control plans, work instructions, inspection check sheets, and PPAP documentation.
- Execute special projects as requested by clients.
- Manage customer portals, track customer scorecard statuses, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Engage in lean daily management practices, participate in tier 2 meetings, monitor performance, gather data, and produce statistical reports.
- Generate and analyze statistical reports utilizing Minitab.
