Position Overview

The role involves collaboration within a unified Critical Care Team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care in a Level IV Trauma Center with a total of 132 hospital beds and 14 dedicated ICU beds.
  • Participate in a flexible scheduling system, allowing for varied shifts that do not strictly adhere to a 7 on/7 off format.
  • Engage in an average of 9 daily patient encounters, utilizing the Epic EMR system for efficient documentation.
Team Structure

During the day shift, the team consists of one physician from 7 AM to 7 PM, while the night shift includes one NP/PA from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a physician available on-call.

Qualifications
  • Board Certification in Critical Care and Pulmonology is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
  • An active Texas medical license and DEA registration are essential.
  • Candidates must be prepared to provide procedure logs as part of the application process.
