Job Overview:This role is part of our esteemed FPGA Engineering Team in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member, you'll play a vital role in designing and implementing innovative FPGA-based products used in wireless systems. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the development of next-generation communication technologies.
About the Role:As a Hardware FPGA Development Engineer or Wireless Systems Integration Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Lab-related system bring-up, testing, debugging, and supporting team members for remote lab access
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams within and outside the organization to integrate engineering efforts
You'll work closely with experienced engineers to ensure seamless product integration and high-quality results.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- An Associate degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent two-year degree plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in the wireless/wired communication field
- Experience with Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, and Generators
- Proficiency in lab maintenance and networking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with high levels of awareness and ability to receive and process sophisticated verbal instructions
- Ability to lift, move around 30-40 pounds, and more than 50 Lbs. with peer assistance
If you have prior experience in Linux, exposure to TCP/IP networking, Python, or any other scripting language, that's a plus. Additionally, expertise in wireless standards (LTE, 5GNR), high-speed serial interface testing/debug, and RF system integration would be highly valued.

The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000, dependent on candidate's work location, experience, and qualifications.
