CVCA Wheat Ridge is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in providing exceptional cardiac care to pets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with our cardiologists, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical histories and symptoms from clients, providing professional client communication and education.
- Perform laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members.
- Provide nursing skills, including restraining patients, administering medications, applying and maintaining bandages, and proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
- Participate in surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology.
