Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the 3rd shift production team at Nixon Medical. This includes managing production associates, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and interacting with other departments to provide excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to up to 30 production associates to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
  • Ensure all assigned processes are completed on time and according to company standards.
  • Manage, approve, and monitor weekly shift payroll.
  • Conduct coaching and counseling sessions for associates as needed.
  • Facilitate training for new associates and ongoing training for current associates.
  • Notify maintenance of needed machine repairs.
  • Perform all necessary duties consistent with the proper and efficient operation of the plant during assigned shift.
  • Lead productive and efficient daily huddles with assigned team of associates.
  • Continually improve assigned performance metrics.
  • Manage a clean and organized area to maintain HLAC standards.
Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge and skill in operating computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge and skill in plant protocols and procedures.
  • Well-developed communication and basic math skills.
  • Organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Efficient multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to supervise multiple workers in an often fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Able to foster a positive team working environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to stand, sit, and/or walk repeatedly throughout most of the workday.
  • Subject to the outside environment with possible exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Normal lifting of up to 50 pounds is possible.
  • Mobility is necessary in order to perform assigned functions.
  • Noise level is moderate to heavy as the work area is a production environment.
Required Credentials:
  • Bachelor's Degree and three or more years' experience serving in a production supervisory capacity.
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement culture highly desired.
