Opportunity Overview:

  • Assignment Duration: 12 months or more

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in inventory management and material handling, preferably in the oil and gas sector. Experience in field operations is also valuable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while optimizing material management processes.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in understanding interdepartmental relationships and effectively collaborating across various teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of ordering, procurement, and supply delivery processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory management practices.
  • Ability to manage confidential company information.
  • Familiarity with standard safety protocols in warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office applications.
  • Experience operating various forklifts (5k-12k types) and the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. A valid driver's license with no restrictions is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain an effective inventory tracking system to optimize business operations.
  • Seek guidance from experienced team members as needed.
  • Develop a solid understanding of organizational functions and responsibilities.
  • Create and implement best practices for inventory control.
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure timely availability of project materials and coordinate operations among vendors and customers.
  • Monitor daily inventory activities and maintain accurate master files, including manufacturer details and material descriptions.
  • Stay informed about new and obsolete materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels based on demand.
  • Review and coordinate pre-pull material lists for loading and delivery.
  • Schedule maintenance for all yard lifting equipment, including forklifts and tele-handlers.
  • Ensure that Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory yard areas for efficient material storage and handling.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to inventory management functions.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and proactivity in problem identification and resolution.
  • Oversee inventory counts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Apply sound judgment in selecting and implementing standard techniques and procedures.
