About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Clean Harbors Kimball, NE. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, as well as diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot instrument and control malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance checks and calibrations to ensure equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and logs as required to track maintenance activities and system performance.
  • Installation: Install new system controls, including power wiring, to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Electrical Services: Perform general electrical maintenance, including servicing and replacing motors and lighting, to ensure optimal system performance.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-5 years combined plant experience and related education preferred.
  • Training: Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred.
  • Licenses: Journeyman Electrician License is a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics and process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Availability: Willing to work a rotating shift, day and/or night as well as overtime as needed.
