Job Title: Inpatient Substance Use Disorder Clinician

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Inpatient Substance Use Disorder Clinician to join our team at Helio Health. As a key member of our Inpatient Rehabilitation & Detox program, you will provide counseling to patients and play a vital role in promoting recovery from substance use and mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a caseload of patients
  • Perform essential counseling responsibilities, including screening, intake, and orientation, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting, and record-keeping
  • Assist with the training of staff, volunteers, and student interns as assigned
  • Exhibit exemplary knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of substance use disorders/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group processes, and principles of counseling
  • Relate effectively with staff, patients, and the professional community while upholding appropriate standards of confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Qualified Health Professional with a qualifying credential or licensure (CASAC, CPP, CPS, or equivalent) or hold a CASAC-P. Valid NYS professional licensure (including but not limited to LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT) or be eligible to work on Limited Permit
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
  • Two years of employment experience in the Human Services field
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications
