Job Overview

Mai Placement is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our direct supply chain team as a Senior Sourcing Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, contract management, and global supplier relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supplier performance, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility improvements.
  • Serve as the first line of defense for sourcing activities, including performance issues, contracts, and escalation management.
  • Facilitate root cause analyses and manage suppliers towards continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor and manage supplier relationships to align with upcoming demand and growth.
  • Conduct new product and ad hoc negotiations with existing suppliers.
  • Oversee sample management, including 6-month master sample refreshes and new product sample management.
  • Provide weekly reports on assigned supplier performance, commodity pricing/forecasting trends, and identify wins/risks.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, including strategic sourcing, purchase order management, logistics, contract management, and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and tools, such as PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in the lumber or wood-furniture industry is preferred.
  • Multilingual abilities are beneficial.
  • Professional certifications/licenses in the field are a plus.
