Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide treatment for individuals with speech, language, and cognitive impairments.
  • Review patient documentation to understand current diagnoses and medical histories.
  • Set measurable objectives and design treatment plans aimed at maximizing the patient's speech, language, and cognitive potential, ensuring alignment with other therapeutic goals.
  • Educate and train support staff on effectively addressing specific speech therapy objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust goals as necessary.
  • Communicate patient progress and needs with the interdisciplinary team, families, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for evaluations, treatments, discharges, and billing, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
  • Follow the company’s Code of Conduct and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance clinical skills.
  • Provide regular updates to the treatment team regarding patient progress and any barriers encountered.
  • Coordinate scheduling for therapy sessions and communicate schedules to relevant staff.


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and unrestricted license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the relevant state.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support or CPR as per state regulations.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in speech language pathology.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
