Internship Overview

As a Finance and Accounting Intern at Stryker, you will have the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting. You will put people first and gain valuable experience, implementing new ideas, being constantly challenged, and developing your skills. You will network with key stakeholders and leaders of the business, be part of an innovative team and culture, and learn about our Finance and Accounting Rotational Program (FAR) opportunity post-graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and analyze specific accounting statements and reports to assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Provide support to teams to develop new and improve existing finance and accounting processes.
  • Create ad-hoc templates to utilize various ERP systems better.
  • Leverage Excel and systems skills to automate and optimize reporting.
  • Coordinate with other departments to set projections/budgets.
  • Communicate variances v. financial targets to management and other departments.
  • Reconcile balance sheets accounts as assigned by management.
  • Participate in monthly closing processes and reporting.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
  • Collaborate with other Finance interns across the country in a case study project.

Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Graduation date of December 2025 through June 2026.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be eligible to work on a permanent basis in the United States.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
