Key Responsibilities

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10pm-6:30am

Under the general oversight of the Systems Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring the optimal performance and usability of automated systems within a fully automated Distribution Center, while also providing mentorship to technician associates. Your role will involve utilizing your technical expertise to troubleshoot electrical control issues at a component level, which encompasses diagnosing capacitors, inductors, diodes, LEDs, and transistors. You will also be responsible for diagnosing pressure transducers, flow meters, photovoltaic sensors, and rectifiers.

  • Implement and uphold effective preventative maintenance strategies for all facility equipment and systems.
  • Identify and rectify error conditions related to Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking Systems within the Distribution Center.
  • Oversee maintenance, modifications, and upgrades of control systems for Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking Systems.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of materials handling equipment and automated systems, recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks to sustain productivity in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain records in the CMMS/EAM system regarding repairs performed on equipment.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours as necessary to achieve productivity objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a blend of technical vocational training and relevant experience. A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience is preferred, particularly with a strong electrical background.

1. Comprehensive technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdowns, and electrical schematics.

3. Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, including testing and repairing electrical systems.

4. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and the ability to read electrical schematics.

5. Experience with computer systems and software, including MS Office and MHE software.

6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
